Welcome to Hank's Heroes Dog Rescue.

Saving one dog will not change the world , but for that one dog the world will change forever.

We are a 501c3 rescue.

OUR MISSION:
To help all stray/abandoned animals get vetted and find a foster, to help those people who want to keep their dogs afford vetting and supplies and to save those dogs in danger of being euthanized.

My Story:
My name is Debbie Smith and this is my rescue project.
After teaching for over 25 years, this is my next venture.
Animals are my passion which is why I have 3 dogs and 6 cats.
In June of 2023, I decided I needed to raise money to start my rescue.  I did that by having 3 garage sales, collecting empties and working over 37 games at the Mud Hens in their non-profit program.
Since I don't have a building yet, I have started a foster based rescue and help other rescues until Hank's Heroes has a building.
My goal is to rescue animals in need- abandoned and strays, especially seniors, those with medical issues and those in danger of being euthanized, get them off the streets, vetted and find homes and to support pet owners who need help  so they can keep their pets.
Come join me in my mission.

Welcome to our website

Brownie is our very first rescue.  She was a stray at animal control and never reclaimed.  Brownie has eye issues, trouble hearing and her legs are a little  shaky.  She is 11 yrs old and being in the shelter was hard on her.  With some meds and lots of love, Brownie is learning to feel safe and at home.

We are a foster based rescue.  We are always looking for new fosters.
